Ghanaian actor and musician, Kobi Rana, looking at Beyoncé’s album which featured some African artistes are calling on Tyler Perry with respect to the movie industry to ‘tap’ the expertise of actors across the African continent, ABC News can report.



Many have praised the American based singer for a collaboration which is likely to see her expand the reach of her brand even further after she dedicated her entire “Lion King” album to featuring talented acts all across Africa.

The move saw several stars including Wizkid, Yemi Alade, Mr. Eazi and Ghana’s very own Shatta Wale partner the talented singer with collaborations. The commentary surrounding the feature of Shatta Wale has left many hopefuls of other equally good opportunities with some other international showbiz icons.


One of such persons is Kobi Rana, a musician and movie producer.

Kobi Rana, on the back of Shatta Wale’s ‘achievement’ is seeking collaboration with multiple award-winning film producer, Tyler Perry.

“Tyler Perry, you have seen Beyoncé and Shatta Wale. Tyler Perry, you have seen they are coming to Ghana. We have a movie industry too. I’m waiting for your call,” Kobi Rana said in an interview.

Kobi Rana is known for his writing and directing skills in the movies “Kiss me if you can” and “Kiss me if you can 2”

He won Ghana’s City People Entertainment Award for Best Movie Director of the Year for the movie “I Do” in 2015.
